Because Timeline Travel arranges travel in South Africa and other countries, it may sometimes be necessary to send personal information to travel providers located outside South Africa.

For example, information may need to be supplied to an overseas hotel, airline, lodge, tour operator or destination management company in order to fulfil your booking.

Where personal information is transferred outside South Africa, Timeline Travel will take reasonable steps to ensure that the transfer is permitted under applicable data-protection law and that appropriate safeguards apply.

8. Direct Marketing

Timeline Travel may send promotional communications about travel packages, tours, destinations, specials or related services where permitted by law.

Where consent is required, we will seek that consent.

Existing customers may receive information about similar Timeline Travel services where permitted by law.

You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by:

* using an unsubscribe facility provided in the communication;

* replying with an appropriate unsubscribe request; or

* contacting us at info@timelinetravel.co.za.

Opting out of marketing does not prevent Timeline Travel from sending communications required to administer an existing booking.

Advertising cookies and Meta tracking

If you accept advertising cookies, we use Meta Pixel and the Conversions API to measure visits, tour views, enquiries, WhatsApp clicks, checkout and paid bookings. This helps us understand which advertisements bring enquiries and bookings.

After you opt in, we may share browser and ad-click identifiers, your IP address and browser information, the page path, event type and booking value with Meta. Email addresses and phone numbers used to match enquiries or bookings are hashed before being sent. Names, travel dates, booking references, enquiry messages and special requirements are excluded from these advertising events.

You can reject advertising cookies or change your choice using Cookie settings. Forms and bookings work without advertising tracking. If you later change your choice, future browser events stop; advertising consent already recorded on an existing booking applies to its payment confirmation.
